Okay forget about predicting. Put your prognostication skills in the closet. This is not about which teams you think will be playing in Detroit in February; rather which teams would you most like to see square off in this season's Super Bowl?
Use any criteria you want. Your favorite teams. The teams you think would make the best game. The teams with the prettiest uniforms. The teams with the hottest players.
I'm going with the Vikings and the Patriots. Besides the fact that they are my two favorite teams, there would be a couple of great stories. While the Vikings would be trying to win their first Super Bowl after losing 4, the Patriots will be going for the first threepeat in Super Bowl history. Plus I think it could be a good game.
The Saints making it against anyone would also be a great story with what New Orleans is going through right now. Maybe they could play Houston given how much the city has done for the people of New Orleans?
After that I go with a Jets-Giants matchup. Being from New York, the hype would be tremendous. I know the national audience wouldn't care so much, but here in NY, it would be huge.

For me...Carolina and Jacksonville. I would love to see the Panthers back in the Superbowl, and against our former Defensive Coordinator, Jack Del Rio...that would be great.
On the other hand, I wouldn't mind Carolina beating the piss out of the Pats either. Hey, it could happen.

Seattle vs. ANYONE. I just want them to make it there. Actually, I would be happy with them just winning a playoff game for a change.

My dream Super Bowl match up would be J E T S vs. the Giants...with the Jets winning.

I want to see the Vikings v. Eagles. wink heh heh
Actually, Vikings v. Colts with Vikes winning.
Or...
Vikes vs. Raiders. Would be interesting to see which team got burned by the Moss trade.

The Bucky household has been waiting for and dreaming of for years a Packers vs Steelers Super Bowl. The bf's a huge steelie fan. We already have the party planned out -- Wisconsin food (brats, cheese etc.) on one half of the table -- 'Burgh food (primanti style sandwiches, pierogis etc.) on the other. Point Beer for Pack fans -- Iron Sh*tty for the others. You're all invited!!
Of course-- this had a better chance of happening a season or two ago.
Barring that -- how about Vikes vs. Bills. Would be the equivalent of Cubs vs. Red Sox world series (well scratch that now that the curse is over). Someone would actually have to win! Plus some former Badgers -- Michael Bennett, Erasmus James, Lee Evans -- would be in action.

no how about New York - San Diego ... just so the lovely Manning family can swallow every bad word they said about the Charger organization.

Eagles vs. whoever. It really makes no difference who the opposition is. In general, though, I like to see the underdog pull off the upset, so maybe the Colts. I think they're still underdogs to the Patriots.

How about Miami - San Francisco, imagine the oddsmakers delight and the betting public's angst.

I would like to see CIN vs PHI. This would mean I had a pretty damn good fantasy football season!
