Full Version: Vikings problem: Culpepper or Moss?

I caught only the highlights (lowlights?) of the loss -- including the sideline temper tantrum Culpepper directed at Randy Moss -- so I'm wondering -- who was more at fault for the four ITs?

The ESPN coverage of the game directed it more at a lazy Randy Moss.

The MinnieApple Star Tribune, however, has this to say, blaming it more on Culpepper:

"After all, Culpepper threw a career-high four interceptions, all coming on passes intended for Moss.

The first, a deep attempt down the left sideline, had too much air under it, allowing safety Mike Minter time to come over and make the play.

The second was an overthrow down the middle.

The third -- and most damaging -- came in Vikings territory, when he missed Moss on a crossing pattern."

Well i blame it on a couple of factors. First, the Moss Ratio, one of the DUMBEST ideas I've ever heard. And the second is the terrible, terrible defense. These two combined put WAAAYYY too much pressure on Culpepper. He has to force too many passes Moss' way. And he knows that each and every time they march down the field and score, the defense will simply let up another score. Exhibit A-Week 1's loss to the Bears. Exhibit B-Week 2's ridiculous loss to the Bills.

Hey Moderator, how do I change my nickname!

Someone on ESPN (Sean Salisbury?) said Moss looked away twice to see who was near him and as a result didn't see the ball in time, and also didn't attempt to break it up--in effect, to play defense on the ball to prevent the interception.

Maybe this is what Moss meant when he said "I play when I want to".

VIKINGS need a RB! Frustratian is running high! Neither Moss or Culpepper are to blame! Jamaal Anderson, and Ricky Watters are still available! Sign one for God's sake! It will make all things work! DO IT!!! Make all Vikings wear Nikes who cares? JUST DO IT!!!
