I hope Arena football succeeds in Spokane, Puckman. On the web page, it mentions three other teams in the Shock's division, namely Blazer, Soul and Crush, but it doesn't indicate where those teams are based  I assume they are all expansion teams and are all in the western US. I don't think Arena football has ever been played in Canada, but of course we have our own unique version of the game up here

I know two of the other teams listed are in San Diego and Albany, but not sure who the other city is just yet. And I believe that Everett, Wash. is also coming into the league next spring too.

The Spokane Shock are part of Arena Football 2. They're not in the main Arena league with the Philadelpha Soul.

I understand the Shock are leading the nation in season tickets sold for arena football-2. So far just over 2,000 tix sold, and the home opener is about 3 weeks out. I plan on checking out the game to see what all the ruckus is about. The Coach here sounds pretty serious about what he wants to do while in town. Namely, win.

Tonight the arena 2 team, Spokane Shock, open the season here against the Stockton Lightning. As of this morning, 7,000 tickets have already been sold, meaning they have a relaistic shot of having a sellout. They must be feeling pretty good about how the team will draw here as all home games are going to be broadcast on local tv. Go Shock!!

Way to go Spokane. If one game is any indication it looks like Spokane is going to embrace its af2 football team, the Shock. Crowd of about 9,500 turned out last night, and as it was, were instrumental in securing a tough 41-40 win over Stockton. Woo-Hoo!! I am gonna have to check this out live here, next game or so.

The Shock are 2-0 and sitting atop our division in the af2, after coming from behind to beat Bakersfield 49-45 yesterday in Bakersfield. Next home game will be our cross state rivals, Everett who are 0-2 on the early season so far. Could very well be a sold out arena for this matchup. Go Shock!

Should be a doozy tonight at the Arena as the cross state rival Everett Hawks ( 0-2)come to town to take on my home town Shock (2-0). The game is a virtual sellout so there will be 10,000+ fans on hand exercising their vocal chords to see the Shock man handle Everett. I will be watching on local tv. Go Shock!

Yet another comeback win for Spokane as they beat Everett last night 44-41 in front of 10,187 raucous fans. Sitting pretty atop the division now at 3-0. Lots of trash talking before and during the game last night. Its pretty clear there is already a big rivalry between these 2 clubs. Everett now winless so far at 0-3. Next up for Spokane is Amarillo.

Shock bombed cross state rival Everett last night in Everett 58-29, now have a 5-1 standing in our division, and in first place, depending on the outcome of Bakersfields' game today...Everett still winless at 0-6. The Tips own Spokane in hockey, so its been sweet seeing the Shock dominate them early in the afl.
GO SHOCK!!!

In a classy move in my opinion, the Shock have resigned head Coach Adam Shackleford to a 2 year contract it was announced yesterday. In his first season as head Coach of Spokane, Adam led the Shock to a 12-4 season, our second West Division Championship too. Unfortunately the Louisville Fire, his old team beat Spokane in the first round of the playoffs 2 weeks ago, so Spokane will not be repeating as arena2 Champions this year. But there is always next year!!!
