PLEASE READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY!!!

Well a second season of Outsports Pick 'Em is just about over. Just one game left-THE SUPER BOWL!!!!!!!! But that doesn't mean there isn't ample opportunity to score lots of points!

The game will run pretty much the same as last year. But please read the instructions carefully, even if you played then.

Obviously, first thing is to predict the WINNER OF THE GAME. Who do you pick, the Raiders or the Buccaneers? A correct prediction will net you 10 points. You will also predict how many points your team will win by. This will be used in the event of a tie to determine the winner of Post Season Pick 'Em!

Ah, but there is more! There are 20 Bonus Points at stake. You must wager those 20 points among the following 5 questions. YOU MAY WAGER NO MORE THAN 6 POINTS ON ANY QUESTION AND NO FEWER THAN 2 POINTS. YOUR WAGERS MUST TOTAL 20 POINTS! So there is a total of 30 points at stake! How much you wager on each of these predictions depends on how confident you are in those picks!

1. Which team will win the COIN TOSS?

2. Which team will score the FIRST TOUCHDOWN?

3. Which team will end up with MORE TOTAL TIME OF POSSESSION FOR THE ENTIRE GAME?

4. Who will be NAMED THE SUPER BOWL MVP?

5. The current Over/Under is 43 1/2. Will the two teams' combined scores be OVER OR UNDER 43 1/2 POINTS? (Regardless of whether the over/under line changes throughout the week, ours will stay at the 43 1/2 that is in today's (Tuesday's) paper)

I thought of asking how many times we'll see Chucky scrunch his face or Warren Sapp run his trap or how many time the Bucs starting out 0-26 will be mentioned, but who'd want to do all that counting!

You may wager 4 points per question. However, if you are more confident in some questions, you can risk up to 6 points. Combinations such as the following will work:

6-6-4-2-2=20
6-5-4-3-2=20
4-4-4-4-4=20
5-5-4-4-2=20

Send me your predictions by 6pm Eastern time Sunday. You may want to send them to me this way:

Super Bowl Pick: RAIDERS by 5 pts.

Bonus Questions:

1. BUCCANEERS win COIN TOSS-4 pts

2. RAIDERS will score FIRST TD-2 pts

3. BUCCANEERS will end up with MORE TOTAL TIME OF POSSESSION FOR THE ENTIRE GAME-3 pts

4. MVP will be Doug Jolley-5 pts

5. OVER-6 pts

(Disclaimer-these are NOT my predictions!!!)

Ah well, I sure reverted to form this week. Shoulda known the Raiders would embarass the hell outta me. I've GOT to start listening to my heart & my gut rather than my head!!! Congrats, BUCS.

I was also embarrased with my point picks as much as the Raiders should have been. In my case I should have went with my head instead of my heart. I was rooting for Gannon. Oh well there is always next year.

So where does that leave me? My head and heart both screwed up picking the Raiders. biggrin.gif

It's been a heckuva fun season though.

George, Thanks a mil for running this thing. Hope to see it again next year. Maybe by then I'll get the rules right the first time for once. wink
