Right back at you: 5-0 ... Packers' Monday Night record since 2001

Packers 2-2 at home after going 8-0 last year. This doesn't seem like a typical Packer team, even though the home team in the series has gone 6-0, dating back to 1994. Favre with a bad thumb was awesome in the temperature controlled dome in a must-win, revenge game. How will the thumb be in the cold of Lambeau? Can Ahman Green hold onto the ball in the cold?
Philly is 3-1 away from the Linc, building momentum, getting healthier, entering into the second half. This is their first game on grass all year though.
At this point I'll lean slightly towards the Eagles.
The only thing we can accurately predict about this game is that Madden will be drooling all over Brett Favre like he always does. Sickening.

I presume you mean the first
road game on grass. They didn't transfer the turf from the Vet when they moved. wink

I thought they played on field turf in the Linc???
Apologize for the misstatement.

I think it's time for some good IGGLE MOJO and turn this into the EAGLES RALLY THREAD!
No Doubt this is a huge game in the standings and a tie breaker game come wild-card time...
So I think what we need is some good Iggle MOJO going and some positive thoughts (even i'll have them)

You're gay, and you ask what a Packer is? wink
Actually, it refers to meatpacking, a major industry in the local economy at one time (or at least profitable enough to help the team get started). All them dairy cows gotta go somewhere eventually.
I'd tell you where it is, but I'd rather dig up a film clip of the Ice Bowl and play it ... though I don't know if it would have the same effect it does on people from Texas.

Folks in M'waukee are pretty friendly -- well ... as long as the Pack wins! Of course every corner tavern will have the game on. I like The Nomad on Brady Street (the East Side on town near downtown).
Major Goulsby's and Club 1225 are good sports bars right downtown.
This site lists Eagle bars across the country -- only one listed for Wisconsin though -- in the small city of Grafton -- about a half hour north of Milwaukee.

Grafton's more of a suburb now -- just off I-43, about a half-hour from downtown. If
mdphl will have wheels in Brewtown, it may be worth the drive (but then go easy on the brew, of course).
Tangent: My high school is in Grafton's conference (they were realigned after I graduated), and Grafton dominates the conference in football, having more of a blue-collar history than the fancy-schmancy burb I came from (at least, that was the excuse we used when they beat us).

Oh and, BTW, the Bucs fans have been awfully quiet now that the Eagles are the only NFC playoff team from last year with a winning record!!
Danimal - thanks for the tip.
Any Meatpacker fans want to make a friendly wager with the loser to pay the bet at the Outsports Convention in Philly this summer. I was thinking something like this:
If the Eagles win -- Danimal will have to wear a cheesehead hat at the Phils game and if the Meatpackers win JIP will have to wear his Charlie Brown costume.
Sound like a deal?

What does Charlie Brown have to do with the Eagles, though? It ought to be something Eagles-related.
Here's some mojo--just imagine, as I'm doing, Merrill Reese doing the play-by-play for a David Akers field goal attempt with 2 seconds left and the Packers ahead by a point......"The ball is spotted, the kick is away......IT'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!! And the Eagles win!"

Those outside the Broadcast zone dont get the iggle radio network, boooo, Sorry thats bad mojo..
I think everyone should raise a beer this evening and give the E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES cheer in a celebratory toast for good MOJO.

Ya, sure, ya betcha okey-dokey (as they say up there in 'sconsin) ... Akers will do just fine -- but a last minute field goal -- please. By the late 4th Q, GB will be up by 10-14 points. Bucky may even be able to go to bed before midnight.
