i'm sorry i didnt know i was taunting... wasnt i speaking the truth about the crack head cowgirls? My bad.
This series has been missing some bad blood for a few years now. I mean spanking the girls for 6 in a row gets boring.
Does anyone really think Carter is a good QB? Ummm, you dont go from garbage to the penthouse overnight like that. Smoke and mirrors just waiting to be exposed?
Here is what you need to understand with parcells.. unlike campo (my favorite dallas coach ever) he wont lose to bad teams.
However, we havent seen him play a good team this year. All questions will be answered on sunday.
OH YEAH, and that one dude who dresses up like the cowboy in the stands... I hate him.

GREAT GAME BOYS!!!!!
Just watched the final 5 minutes of the game. The Bucs helped you out by taking out another NFC East team for you today. Enjoy the victories until you come to Tampa in a few weeks.

I think it may sound something like "yeah, well, we beat the boys 9, I mean 6, times in a row (yet I NEVER talk about the past...).
Are the Eagles STILL in last place in the East, haven't they occupied that "place" all season?
Oh, how we miss the glory days of Veterans Field. The curse of the Linc continues...

It's open-season on the Cowboys 365 days a year, but when it's bottom feeding time for Philly...we get warnings from the moderators ahead of time? Uh, I see NO bias here.
Give me the the WIN over smack talk any day!

Give me a break. The usual little joking comments about the Cowboys are nothing compared to the obnoxiousness spewed in this thread and others. The moderators do a great job, even though I don't always agree with them.
Regarding the game: I continue to get more proof for my statement that the Eagles will never make it to the Super Bowl as long as Andy Reid is in charge and continues to stubbornly cling to the idea of his alleged brilliance. As long as he can't come up with a consistent offensive scheme that doesn't help cause wasted timeouts, and insists that his mediocre wide receivers are capable of doing the job, and comes up with moronic ideas such as the opening kickoff, he's never going to succeed.
They just did that opening onside kick a couple of years ago. If that's not a once-in-a-lifetime play, it's certainly something you don't try very often, and you certainly don't try it AGAINST THE SAME TEAM YOU DID IT AGAINST LAST TIME!!! I could tell something was up when Akers approached the ball. Something just looked weird. They gave the game away right there.

Yeah, the Cowboys actually have a good coach right now!! He happens to be the best active coach in the NFL IMHO!! Good win, Cowboys!! They will play at Detroit next week against cutie, Joey Harrington, and the Lions!! Although Detroit doesn't have an above 500 record, they still play tough hard-nosed football and winning a game at Ford Field will not be easy.

I read in the gameday program today in Dallas where the Cowboys hold the record for most wins against any given team in the NFL...the team? The Philly Eagles...Dallas has beat Philly 51 times...that is an NFL record....no team has beaten any other team that many times......

I totally disagree with this.. Reid actually being agressive is a GOOD thing. That play has worked for him more than once, i think.
I Called MDPHL after the game and said to him, Dmac needs to sit... what's in the papers today? yup. The fat man often talks about how injuries arent a problem and he's confident in his back ups... blah blah blah.. so why dont you use your proven back ups at QB?
We all knew this was gonna be a slug fest and parcells playing it to win close at the end.. that is what he did.
"mexico's team" has some tough games coming up that they will not win... Washington has been exposed for the frauds they are, and the giants are playing worse than all the teams.. All is not lost, but Dmac needs to sit.
What the eggs need to do is sign a top notch WR, there has to be one out there who can catch passes at his ankles, or 2 feet above his head, and the ever important slant pass thrown 2 feet behind them in a dead run with with only one step on the CB....

This statement from PF doesn't look too intelligent on Monday morning....smoke and mirrors huh.....that would be the opening kick by the eagles.

YES it is most definately smoke and mirrors. That is what parcells does when he has less talented teams.
The real question is, how long can he do it for?
This game was decided by 1 series of plays and on call by reid.
The onside kick which turned into 7 points.
The end of the first half when the eggs had the ball at the 2 and for some reason, reid throws the ball two times. By doing that, it ended up costing the eagles 10 points. 10 easy points for the girls.
Those 2 sets swung the game.
What reid never ever is able to do is play conservative when he needs to and be agressive when he needs to. ie punting on 4th and 1 from the 41. Parcells will go for that, reid will not.
Both Carter and dmac missed wide open receivers.. we'll call that a push.
Look at the nfc this year... no one is in control. The hawks scare anyone? Minn? Carolina is the only legit team out there...

The Cowboys may be less talented, but they're also better prepared than they have been in a long time. That onside return for a touchdown looked almost as though Williams knew EXACTLY was coming. Talent can only take you so far before you have to start winning games with preparation. The Cowboys are doing this so far.
The Redskins, on the other hand, are looking about as amateurish as a high school's junior varsity team with all the stupid penalties (a personal foul when you WOULD have forced a field goal attempt against the defending world champs counts as ultra stupid in my book). That doesn't mean they can't get back into the playoff race, but the way this team looks now, Steve Spurrier could do a pretty convincing reading of Jim Mora's "playoffs" tirade with the Dolts.
The Eagles are definitely not distinguishing themselves this season either. Donovan McNabb is making Rush Limbaugh look like he may have been onto something, even if it was for the wrong reasons. That defense is not the devastating force it was during the NFC Championship game runs. The offense looks schizophrenic with a three man committee approach at running back. Commit to one of the three guys and run him 20 times a game at least and you may have something. But that's too much for Andy Reid to ponder, it seems.

I have been reluctant to criticize Reid thus far. I give him credit for the success of the past few years. However, I agree with JIP and PhillyFan -- the guy's inflexibility is an impediment to the Eagles winning it all.
With regard to the on side kick to start the game, I don't take issue with the call even though they used the exact same play a few years ago against the Cowboys (as JIP noted).
McNabb is really struggling. PhillyFan is right -- he should sit for a game or two. Reportedly he has an injured thumb. Reid should use that as an excuse to mix up the QB situation.
BTW, it was good to see PhillyFan in Phoenix on Saturday night. He graciously showed me around the friendly confines of Roscoes (the Sports Bar there) and forced me to drink a few beers. Unfortunately I was unable to watch the Eagles game with him because of other committments. Considering what happened, maybe that wasn't so bad after all

The Cowboys' Williams (who ran the onside kick back) said he recognized it from how Akers approached the ball (just like I did, if I may brag). Reid continues to insist that the Cowboys didn't see it coming.
McNabb said after the game he's having trouble gripping the ball. That ought to be reason enough to sit him down for a game or two, especially if this offensive scheme needs precision passing in order to work. Again, Reid insists that McNabb can play. (Of course, McNabb also says that but the fact that he admits to trouble gripping the ball is telling.)

The Cowboys Special Teams coach, Bruce DeHaven, specifically told Randal Williams to watch for an onside kick right before going onto the field. Cowboys coaches were prepared and had the players ready for a possible onside kick well before Akers approached the ball.
Don't look for the Cowboys to lose this year due to being out-coached.

Too much is being made of this onside kick... #1.. at the end of games, when everyone knows it's going to happen... it's a crap shoot. Hence, anytime you do it, it's a crap shoot... the guys shot the gap of the rushers and was off. Nuff said. If that play works again, Reid gets credit, if it doesnt.. he gets killed in the press.
I'd rather have dmac sit a week and at least heal his ankle or hip. Word is that thumb wont get a whole lot better. I'm actually curious to see how Koy would do right now. I see open WR's. If Koy can score more points, maybe it opens dmac's eyes to what he SHOULD be doing.

Sure, the onside kick is a crapshoot. But the odds were even more against it than usual--it was done before, by the same coach against the same team on the same field, and the Cowboys were looking for it. Why take such a risk? Even if it wasn't run back for a TD, why give the Cowboys great field position to start the game? When you have a defense that is doing as well as can be expected given the injuries, and an offense that is plodding at best, why give them any momentum at the start? It set the tone for the entire afternoon.

Actually, i dont think that was the letdown of the game. You mean to tell me the whole team was unaware that they were doing this? They didnt tell the D to be ready to go out there if they got great field position? The O didnt know there was a chance they'd be down early? Of course they knew.
Really, the series at the end of the half is where questons need to be asked, not that kick.
If they make that kick, maybe that jump starts the team. I'll give him credit for trying.
His bland O and 2 yard swing passes, well he can take that and shove it up his huge... nevermind.
I have a question... the girls were blitzing like crazy on suday... where the hell is the screen pass? I dont think i've seen one of those this year....
