Dallas vs. Philly on 10/12/03!
Coaching: Bill Parcells vs Andy Reid....no contest Parcells hands down!! Dallas 1-0 over Philly
Defense: Dallas is 2nd in the NFC in total defense, Philly isn't even in the top 20!! Dallas 2-0 over Philly!
Offense: Dallas had the number one rated offense in the entire NFL for the first five weeks until this week ended!! They are still in the top five though!! As for Philly, they have Donovan"inconsistent"McNabb and not much else!! Dallas 3-0 over Philly!!
Special Teams: I will call this a tie with a slight edge probably going to Philly!! Dallas 3-1 over Philly!!
Intangibles: Bill Parcells has already proven early in the season what he can do with a team that has gone 5-11 in each of the past seasons!! He is the best active coach IMHO! This Cowboy team has modest talent at best, and he has them playing with supreme confidence and the belief that every game is winnable!! If it wasn't for a second half collapse against Atlanta in their first game, they would be undefeated right now!!
Nonetheless, I predict, with the game's best coach and a raucous sellout crowd, the Cowboys defeat the Eagles in a close one, 27-24!! They don't even look like the same team from last season even though their roster hasn't changed very much!! I am really impressed!! I was born and raised in Dallas/Ft. Worth and I am a longtime fan, and I have to say they are doing more with less, than any team in Cowboy history.

Phillyfan just wishes the Eagles had the trophies Dallas has to dust......
What fan, owner or team out there would not take this deal.....
Your team would win three Super Bowls in ten years. And in exchange, your team would have seven bad seasons. That is what Dallas did and it was well worth the bad seasons. As a Cowboy fan we KNOW that we will win another Super Bowl...its our legacy. Philly fans...well, you know.....your team and its owner may never win a Super Bowl.
8 Super Bowl appearances and 5 Super Bowl wins speaks for itself. How have the Eagles done?
Dallas wins this week with its number one offense 22 - 13.

WOW amazing! All the cowgirl fans are crossing the US border and hopping back on the bandwagon? GREAT! After monday, it was easy for you to exchange that bucs jersey for a shiny new cowgirls one!
Anytime someone gives you a background of how long they have been a fan of any team... red flags go up here....
"I've been a cowboys fan, ever since they were good. I know i've been away for sometime, but i'm glad to be back now that there is a winning record"...
NOW, as far as your analysis goes... Number 1 O, thats great, but i just check out your scoring O.. and it's not that great. Lots of yards are great, points are better.
I'm reading that the eagles are getting their 2 starting cb's back this week. Advantage Eagles.
The game will come down to if Parcells can run the ball or not. No one has run on the eagles, but with the injuries to the secondary no one has tried. That right there, is the key to the game.
oh yeah, cowgirls suck.
You heard it here first...

Cowboys average points per game 22.2
Eaglets 15.0
Any other analysis, PF?

24 pts vs cards.. means the girls only worked for about 7 of them... and the cardz handed them the rest.
RazorbackTX
Oct 7 2003, 02:50 PM
OK, so if the Cowboys average 22.2 points a game and thats "not so good"
what do you call the eaglets who average seven points less than the Cowboys?
By the way, the Cowboys took a knee (twice) on the Cards 5 yard line at the end of the game.

The cowboys have beat... the jets, cardz and giants. Is that something to hang your hat on? The cowboys giants game.. both teams scored 30+ points.. the rest of the games have been low scoring... so get out of here with that.

There is no doubt that the Cowboys have made great progress in their first 4 games this season, as compared to the Dave Campo era. Amazing what just having a good coaching staff can do, with basically the same players. I think that predicting a Dallas win over Philly is going a little too far at this point; I hope that they can just play a close game (10 points or less) and bring positive things out of playing an above-average team who has had their number of late. The Jets, Giants, and Cards probably are not the same caliber teams as the Eagles, Bucs, and Redskins who the 'Boys are getting ready to play in the next 4 weeks. But, playing and beating those teams does give them positives to take into the Eagles game this Sunday, so I don't think it will be a trouncing like we saw last year.

You know...
This is dallas' game to win or lose. If they wish to be taken seriously you have to win these games at home. Or do what they did in the 90's and grab a hooker...
Based upon the injury report... the eagles secondary will have their 2 cb's back
As for PCC's bold prediction... should you be spending your time polishing the ball coaches' shoes right now? Worrying about da bucs?

The bottom line in the NFL is wins and losses. Right now, the Cowboys are 3-1, Washington is 3-2, and the Eagles are 2-2. Are the Cowboys as good as their record? We don't know that answer yet. Are they better than they were last year? No question. Bill Parcells and his coaching staff are showing they can coach a team up like few others. There's a reason the Cowboys are winning games that they used to lose. They're better prepared.
Do I think the Cowboys will beat the Eagles? I don't. CAN it be done? Yep. It will likely be a much closer game than any of the recent ones have been. I see this game going down to the final play.

I'm so glad to know that after jumping OFF the bandwagon 5 years ago.. all of ya'all cowpoke fans have crossed over the mexico border and are now back as cowboy fans. Good job! I hope there are alot of day labor camps open.. but let me go on...
You see this is how cowboy fans operate... when in doubt go back to the glory years.. if that's the case, i'll just revert back to 1960's and we can call it even.
There are no bragging rights right now till you can actually BEAT the eagles on the field. Let's look at the recent history here.. eagles have won the past 6 games in a row (you've all been hiding in that time). In those 6 games the avg scoring margin is 23.3 points. That is called getting spanked.
Now until Dallas can do something to offset this, shaddup.
The gals have played shitty teams the first few games of the season... the eagles... All of the teams they have played have been legit playoff teams.. except the deadskins who are frauds... the girls? AZ, Atl, Jets, errrr gimme a break.
What you pokes need to understand is this; Good thing they won now and are 3-1 cause you still have to play all those teams the eagles split with. Tampa, NE, Buffalo....
Just to make this clear.. I despise the cowfrauds... heck, i despise their on again, off again fans (who prob barely speak the language of this country).
