A very funny bit on HBO's "Inside the NFL"(repeats Saturday), when Brett Favre and center Frank Winters talk about their 11-year "relationship" of QB to center.

Brett talks about Frank's tight ass that now droops; a mock therapist talks about how Frank gets jealous if Brett has another center and "touches another guy's balls." In the closing credits Brett talks about the two of them "spooning together."

It's all tongue-in-cheek but I thought it was cool these 2 guys were comfortable enough to go along with the gag.
Brent
This follows a bit on ESPN where he was asked about being in "Something About Mary" and if Cameron Diaz had hit on him...and he said "No--but Ben Stiller did!"

Clearly he's a guy who enjoys a joke--but he seems extraordinarily comfortable coming up and going along with gay jokes...or....

I saw it last night Jim. It was funny, cute and not at all offensive, in case anyone was wondering. Wanda Sykes is a piss!

But new addition Cris Carter isn't so impressive. The plan was to have him serve the Charles Barkley role, but so far, no good. Also way too much Dan Marino ass-kissing.

I too caught this segment on Inside the NFL and thought Favre was too good to be true. Little did I know that Marino would upstage the segment with his closing comments about his former playing days and his center's ummm...sweaty areas. Did Marino really say he licked his fingers! Wow! I think Costas, Carter, and Collinsworth could barely believe where he went with that, but I'm glad homophobia in sports seems to be waning just a bit.

On another note, I have to say Inside the NFL is one of the best football shows on (cable) television. The segment last week (or was that ESPN?) about Favre's "antics" after handing off were hilarious, and Wanda was a complete mess this week. She was great on Chris Rock, and it's good to see her keeping busy. Yeah, Carter is a little hesitant, but give the guy some time--he's in highly-esteemed company.
