I propose that we create a separate thread for each week of the season, instead of individual games. Events like the Philly-Minny get together should stay separate.

I second that proposal.

I fourth that proposal. Why there would be an Eagles thread every week, I have no idea.
...no idea beyond obnoxious Eagles fans.

You do realize that all the Eagle mojo, posting, berating, etc. will now occur in a single thread for each week.
However, after this coming week there won't be much talk from any of the Iggle fans for a bit. They'll be busy tending to the whooping the Vikes are gonna give 'em.

Why? Why is this game any different than any other?

PCC, he said the "event" should be separate, not the game.
Like the December Chargers/Bucs game that Kenny is going to. It can be separate because it is an event, not just a game.

Why doesnt everyone take the advice that was handed down to the people who thought there was too much P&R going on.. skip it.
However, if we are compacting threads, can we just get one "w is a liar" thread going?
But hey, if i have to read about 70 yards runs when a team is down by 21 points in the 4th qtr, or how the CB blitz stops the run... i'd be happy to take care of those type of "logical" posts.

Jim, I actually kind of agree with ol' PF here. With some of the ridiculous posts that go on in other threads I don't understand why you would want to squash posts that are about sports. There happens to be a lot of Eagle fans on the boards so they do get a lot more attention. They won't get near as crazy as last year since one certain instigator, I mean poster, has limited access now.
It shows passion for their team. I hate the Eagles as much as anybody. Only team I hate more are the Broncos.
People don't have to visit the Eagle rally threads if they don't want. If it's a matter of bandwidth or whatever, my vote would be to lose some of the nonsport threads first.
Just my thoughts.

A logical way to address this issue is to create one thread titled "Eagle Rally Thread". There doesn't need to be 16 different threads containing the same old song: "E - A - G - Lesbo" week after week after WEAK!

Some people just NEED more attention than others.
By the way, Jim do you ever read your PMs?

Time out: I was not trying to quash any fun here and think my motives were misinterpreted. I was hoping to create one thread so we could talk about Sunday's action in an easy forum, instead of people creating 16 different threads for each game that week. The Eagles stuff is a lot of fun and I don't want to affect that.
I do not dictate this idea, it's just my suggestion. It does seem silly though to have a Saints-Seahawks thread with 1 post, for example. It's also silly to have 20 different Eagles rally threads where an entire post consists of "E."
Any ideas welcome!

Sorry Jim. I do agree with you that separate threads for each game is silly. It seems that there are only a few of us that post comments on the individual games, and I think the Eagles are the only team that has more than one regular poster for their team.
I can handle a single thread for each week, but posters will have to realize that they are gonna get that E-A-G-Lesbo cheer in that one thread.

We could always do what they do on the baseball thread and start a post for each team people are interested in:
2004 Vikings
2004 Colts ...
This way, the readers would determine the interest level.

CU I seem to recall you being one of the main contributors to that cheer a year ago. Are you just waiting until later to hop on the bandwagon again this year?

Stinger, things change from year to year.
For example, one year you're a Super Bowl Champ with uneducated fans, the next year you've got a .500 team with a cancer-filled clubhouse with uneducated fans. Aaah, that famous run-stopping CB blitz they use in Tampa, eh Kenny? Priceless. Keep dazzling us with your football acumen.
Last year I mainly posted in those threads to support a certain fellow OutSports poster (the True Lithuanian Patriot). That support is non-existent this year.
Go Vikings!

I would like the Fellow Eagle Alumni to just pull up the threads and see what the W/L % is on games with a thread vs games without a thread.
Needless to say, JIP who is the official rally thread starter, will completely agree to individual threads.
If the concern is just one post for the E-A-G.. it really makes no difference if it's in on 1 thead, 2 threads, or a separate thread for each... now does it?
Perhaps some of you should go round up some other fans who post anything about football other than the pretty pictures. Then you can all argue about great facts and stats that some of these people come up with.
You know like Joe Gibb's winning percent when there is a full moon, when he takes a shit before the game, or when when he's on his knees giving purse boy a... nevermind.

Rally threads are soooo 2003.
Since there are only 16 games I think having Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, etc. threads work better for the NFL than team threads as in the Baseball and Hockey forums.
