Dallas Cowboys!

Yes I knew that today would happen. A smoke and mirrors team would get beat MUCH WORSE on the road. Remember how bad the Cowboys were last year. Last year's team would have been beat 45-0. They have made such strides from the last three years it is amazing. Bill Parcell's has them on the right track. When they get more talent and personnel, imagine how good they might be. Quit the Cowboy hating!!!!

Boys... till now.

I wouldn't characterize the Cowboys as a "Smoke and Mirrors" team. More like an average team with young, aggressive players, a terrific coach and a bright future. I would never discount any team coached by Bill Parcels.

Right. Ridiculous to call them smoke and mirrors after this loss. Time will tell. Grow up.

Yeah, I think I agree. Oh wait, didn't the Vikings completely dominate the 49ers using their back-up QB and missing their star running back. Then a few weeks later the 49ers dominated the Bucs?

Smoke and mirror teams don't win 9 in a row, like the Vikings did. Also, 8 of their 10 losses last year were by less than 7 points, 2 in overtime where they had the lead and let the opposing team tie on a final drive in the 4Q.

Vikes are for real.

Sting...

Any team is smoke and mirrors to certain folks, always remember that...

There have been teams, too numerous to count, that the Bucs have made to look like "smoke and mirrors".

like the eagletts in week 1?

Most of the league is mediocre at best. KC seems to be the only dominant team, but who knows any more? It won't be too surprising if they lose a couple. Don't read too much into the fact that the Bucs won, or by the fact that even though they won, they didn't really blow it open.

I opened this thread with the expectations of seeing the Falcons as the topic. biggrin.gif Then again, we didn't even have smoke and mirrors at the start of this season: No one's been fooled about how awful we are. lol

The Falcons are interesting and I seem to have somewhat changed my opinion of Mike Vick the past couple of weeks. I really think the guy is phenomenal, and I don't personally know the extent of his injury, but it seems like he should be playing right now. His teammates are out there suffering every week and it looks like he is prepared to let the season slide by. Not sure how I would feel about that if I were a teammate, especially if I were playing nicked up. Also wonder if he is purposely trying to get Reeves axed - That would really change my opinion if it were true. If he is "tanking" the season, he's doing the rest of the league an injustice. The Falcons could play a spoiler role down the line in who wins that division, and the NFC for that matter, and I would like to see him step up for competetive reasons (especially against Tampa biggrin.gif ).

On the positve side, as a gambler however, the fact that he is not playing does give me some benefit/edge with my handicapping.
GO KINGS GO
As a longtime Falcons fans...this season has been tough.
Doug Johnson was in the drivers seat to a hugh payday this off season. Now he would be lucky to come back to ATL.
Vick...I do want him back...But, it seems that he has tossed it in for this year. Which is sad with so many games left.
Many feel Vick should already be playing... He is not, so it leaves one to think... Is he afraid or just doesn't have the heart for the game? Either way, it's tough to be a Falcons fan right now.
