Was just curious of other members opinion about this guy. I was really surprised to read the lovefest to him on the Jock Talk page today.
I can't stand the guy. I think he is a total tool. Creap, liar, horrible role model for kids and now he parades his kid in front of the media like a shield. I'd love to never see him step on the field again.

Never really liked the guy. He's private, and that's fine. He's touchy, and that's fine. But he's also self-absorbed, and completely uninterested in his team, and that's not so fine.

I saw a good chunk of the interview. It was odd how after it seemed he didn't have much to say, the reporters kept asking him questions. Maybe they knew if they could keep the mics going long enough, he'd say something.

Oh bless Barry's precious heart. Isn't it nice to know he is thinking of his family first in staying away from baseball and the media. He is such a special man leaving at the top of his game fully satisfied with his great career.
