The NFC is so unpredictable except for the Eagles. I really thought the Vikings would be consistent winners against the pretenders of the division but teams like the Giants seem to have their number.

Good to see the Hawks get back in wiining form yesterday. They played well, but its still quite clear there is alot of room for improvement, and there were 2 more dropped passes from Hawks players. Carolina is a much better team than their record indicates at 1-6.If they are going to be a great team, this shit has to stop.

The Chargers hit the halfway point with more wins than most people expected them to have in the whole year, plus they have a share of the AFC West lead. The team has become more than the LT show. With the McCardell acquisition, defenses have to fear the pass ... 22-of-25, 280 yards, and 5 TDs, which further solidifies Brees's Top 5 paser rating. And even if LT needs rest spells, Jesse Chatman has proven to be a more than adequate backup, with 286 yards.

I have a strange feeling that this season will play out much like last yaar for the Vikes. Strong start, limp to the finish line. The Packers are regrouping and the Lions aren't the pushover they've been in recent years.

It'll be interesting to see if the Vikes can rebound from this bad, bad loss to the Giants. This same loss at the same point in the season last year is what sent them into their downward, playoff-missing spiral. If they fail to win the NFC North this year, I'll be the first to sign the "Fire Mike Tice" petition. His challenges were just pathetic and his play calling not much better.
