Full Version: Arrington threatens Sapp, league steps in

The oh-so-charming (he said, sarcastically) Warren Sapp likes to run through the pregame drills of the opposing team. He's done it a number of times, and he did it again on Monday night. Washington's LaVar Arrington threatened retaliation if Sapp did it on Sunday. Finally, the NFL woke up and notified the Bucs that Sapp would be disciplined and the team would receive a 15-yard penalty on the opening kickoff if he does it again.

What took them so long?

I can't believe someone hasn't laid Sapp out before for his pregame nonsense. He's gotten away with alot more than many others would because of his image as a jokester. He'd be the same on that if an opposing player did this to the Bucs, he'd be ranting and raving.

This is pretty funny, Lavar Arrington makes the threat yet Sapp is the one who is warned. I don't agree with his antics, but the NFL is quite ridiculous on this one. Especially given the fact he threatened him if he were to come in on offense. But hey, cry babies usually get their way.

Much as I'd like to see Sapp shut his yap, Joe Gibbs never would have put up with the kind of comments Arrington made. You can betcha that Gibbs would have laid out Arrington's ass in a meeting about giving opponents bulletin board material.

That's the last thing the Redskins need to be doing. They need to focus on not jumping offsides.
