Anyone giving Cleveland a chance at Kansas City ?!
Browns are not starting QB Couch and RB Greene is on suspension.
Only good thing is Cleve plays much better on the road. and didn't all the teams that had decent undefeated records lose to kind of slouch teams to end their streak ?

Of the teams with one or two losses: Indy lost their game to Carolina, who was still unbeaten at the time. Carolina then lost to Tennessee the next week and has since lost to Houston. Tennessee's two losses were to Indy and New England. Other than maybe Houston, none of these teams can be considered slouches.
On the other hand, the Pats' two losses (both in the first 4 weeks, unlike these other teams) were to Buffalo and Washington. Minnesota was unbeaten until their losses at home to the Giants and Packers; Seattle lost to the Packers and Bengals; and Dallas lost their opener to Atlanta(!) but their only loss since was to Tampa Bay. These are all teams with only 3 or 4 wins now.
So it's certainly not impossible for the Browns to win, considering the current state of the league. But I think KC is a cut above, so I don't see them losing.

I don't think there is an upset in the making here, but for what it's worth, the Chiefs beat the Browns by just a single point in what was probably the highest scoring NFL game last year (40-39). At the rate Kansas City is going, as long as Trent Green and Priest Holmes stay healthy, they could easily end up 14-2 or even a perfect 16-0 (move over, '72 Dolphins!) and are certainly my pick for the Super Bowl. Looking at the remaining schedule for the Chiefs, there are only two teams (Denver and Minnesota) who could realistically beat them.

If KC gets past Denver at Mile High, then you can pretty much put them in the history books with the Miami Dolphins.

Remember the Broncos were 15-0 a few years back and went into Giants Stadium and lost to the GMen, who had a losing record at the time. Nothing is a lock. That said, I wouldn't mind seeing them go unbeaten if only so we don't have to see those idiot Dolphin veterans popping their champagne corks when the last team falls from the ranks of the undefeated. But I guess since the Chiefs have to play the Vikes, maybe I'd rather see them lose after all!

Well, now that the 1pm games are done, some of the more surprising games are as follows:
The Giants getting walloped at home by the lowly Falcons. I see Collins is up to his old ways throwing two INTs. The Giants are now 1-4 at home.
Homefield seemed to be quite an advantage for many other teams today. Except for the Giants all the other 1pm home teams won.
The Panthers pulled out another one against the Bucs today in the last minute. That Super Bowl memory is fading fast.
The Colts lost to the Jags today after leading 20 -7 at halftime. I guess they thought the game was over they played conservatively as not to lose instead of going for the kill.
Finally Spurrier's Redskins won a game for him or rather in spite of him. He was up to his old tricks as he went for it on a 4th and inches on the Skins own 25. Perhaps he has a few more tricks in that bag to keep his job.
As I said last week Parity is alive and well in the NFL, well except for the Chiefs.

I'm so sick of the Colts and their act. I never want to hear the words "Colts" and "Super Bowl" in the same sentence again.
I'm tempted to drop them entirely out of my top 10 and keep them out for the rest of the season.

I wouldn't fault the Colts entirely today.
Harrison left early in the game with an injury and didn't return.
If Harrison doesn't miss any more games, I'm sur the Colts will do just fine.

Here's my Top Ten from this week and some comments:
1. Kansas City - The two Cleveland TD's were a direct result of KC mistakes, a 42 yard pass interference penalty, and a stupid miscue on a punt. Right now, the only team that can beat the Chief's are the Chief's themselves. Okay, I am a biased Chief fan, but I have been waiting all my life for this.
2. Indianapolis - There were three games today where all the money was on one side (Indianapolis, Tampa Bay and Minnesota). And when it's obvious the public is on one side, always bet the other side, which I did in all three games. Cha-ching.
3. Tennessee - Domination, and they reinforced that if you stop Ricky Williams that the Dolphin's do not have the offensive firepower to compete.
4. New England - OFF, but moves up in my rankings this week.
5. Seattle - I had money on Seattle this week, to win straight up. Can't let these slip away.
6. Minnesota - Again, all the money was on Minnie, a perfect set-up for the upset.
7. St Louis - Playing as we speak, but looking good.
8. Carolina - Someone call Mr. Goodwrench, because the Tampa Bay bandwagon has broken down. Prediction this week: Tampa Bay bandwagon fans - M.I.A.
9. Philadelphia - Guarantee the Eagles win Monday night. They're getting 5 points? They should be favored by 5 points. Easy money on Monday night.
10. NY Giants - Jeremy Shockey, the most overrated player in the NFL. Shut your pie hole.

Whoa, did you see that hit that Archuleta delivered to his buddy Todd Heap? I felt it all the way out here... eek!

Hey, I think I saw that hit. I was watching this new program on ESPN, The Ray Lewis Show, and apparently during some commercials they also showed a football game.

If it's the same hit, what hurt worse was that Heap bounced off him and the other guy and Heap bumped helmets.

It was great to see 41 year-old Doug Flutie energize the San Diego Chargers to an impressive win over the Vikings, who have now lost three in a row. I always enjoyed watching Flutie's amazing agility on the field when he played in the CFL (Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto) where he won three Grey Cups. Obviously the Chargers' playoff hopes are nil, but maybe Flutie can make their record semi-respectable if given the chance to play more games. Nice photo below of Flutie with Drew Brees:

A classy guy, just like his brother Damon, who today was QB-ing the Toronto Argonauts in the CFL East final, albeit in a losing cause to Montreal, who will face Edmonton next week in the Grey Cup game.

Ugh! The Dolphins.. The Dolphins... With all of that talent, how much more time do we give Dave Wannstedt?

The trend this weekend in football was for Tennesee to beat Miami. The Vols handed the Hurricane a crushing blow and the Titans followed suit by exposing the Dolphins as pretenders, and validating the Broncos decision to exile Griese.

It WAS nice to see Flutie back on the field and bring the Chargers a win. I'm not into the pros that much, but I this might be a good time to get into them some more.

Sheesh, that Bill-Cowboys clash of secondaries was one of the best defensive displays I can remember seeing in a football game. For whatever reason these guys were gunning for each other's offense, especially the poor quarterbacks, blitzing virtually every play. Those guys had to be in shape to keep that up the whole game. Buffalo's guys seemed to flag first in the fourth quarter but the key difference was the quarterbacks. Old-fashioned Bledsoe is a pure pocket passer and it killed him again, but Carter scrambled like a man in fear of losing his job.
