Just back from the RAC...what a great college basketball games. Rutgers who had played poorly in their last two games at UTEP and at Georgetown played their hearts out and went toe to toe with #1 UConn losing a heartbreaker 75-74. RU led much of the game from the mid first half until about the 5 minute mark when UConn got a little bit of lead that they were able to cling on to. I was really impressed with UConn in the first half...they were so quick in transition. I mean this team has three lottery picks on the team. Okafor is amazing as are Villeneuva and Gordon. The incredible thing in this game is UConn shot 49% and RU only 32% and UConn outrebounded the Knights by 13 yet the game was still so close. Unbelievable effort by Rutgers and it should propel them the rest of the year in the BE. Its tough to fall so short in winning a big game like this but Im proud of what they did tonight. It will be very tough for any BE team to come into the RAC and win. It is truly one of the best atmopsphere and places to watch a college bball game.

As for UConn while I was impressed, it looks like they have an achilles heel...foul shooting...they shot just 13-27 and probably only won because RU was only 16-26. UConn is so explosive and can beat you from so many ways but if they are going to go far in the NCAA tournament they are going to have to get their foul shooting mess in order.
