clashes: the Cuse coming out and beating Miss St. and Memphis. I saw part of the Memphis games, and I'm notsomuch about the Cuse jerseys. I actually liked the ones they've worn recently.

upsets: North Carolina, SI jinx. SI jinx, North Carolina. Will Santa Clara use this win as a springboard to a WCC run and scare or even dethrone the Zags.

scares: If Vermont is still playing in March, the 3-6 seeds will hope not to see Vermont come across the screen with their name on Selection Sunday. Kansas was taken to the limit by the Catamounts before prevailing 68-61.

The BB&T Classic at the MCI Center this year... First George Washington upends a ranked Michigan State team yesterday, and then today I watched them stuff Maryland (to my boyfriend's dismay). Those of you who attended the OutSports convention in Philadelphia and all passed (during our hometown sports clothing swap) on the hooded GW basketball sweatshirt that I brought are now missing out on a chance to jump on an early bandwagon !

We went to the games on Saturday and were impressed by GW. Beat MSU by getting Paul Davis into foul trouble so he misses most of the game.

Had been looking forward to an MSU - Twerps final, thinking that would be the best game of the four, but really sounds like GW v. MD was terrific.
