I actually thought my best chance to win would be the second chance brackets. When it was down to the Sweet 16,I felt confident of a Kansas/Syracuse battle for the title.Unfortunately,I thought they would be playing Pitt and Mich St respectively to get to the Championship game.
I never gave much thought to winning the original brackets contest, because of so many losses along the way.To be honest,I completely forgot that I had picked Kansas and Syracuse the first time as well.It was only after the Regional Finals that I went back and saw that I was in like 7th place. The key was that my potential score was higher than anyone elses, which I assumed meant that no one else had 2 teams left.I knew that if both Kansas and Syracuse advanced I'd have a great shot at winning.
So now it comes down to tonight-
GO JAYHAWKS!! I guess I thought all along they were the team to beat. I remember before the tournament when people were speculating on who would be in New Orleans, and I said the only team I was sure of was Kansas. I think I felt all along that the leadership and experience of Hinrich and Collison was the key. The main thing was that they are the only Final Four team from last year that returned it's 2 BEST players and they are hungry.I thought that both Kentucky and Arizona were overrated and just didn't have what it would take to get to New Orleans. I thought Syracuse was actually the easiest regional winner to pick, because Oklahoma, with it's offensive liabilities, just didn't seem capable of winning a regional in the East.So I had 2 pretty good picks to go along with 2 clunkers- Florida over Texas and my underachieving Hoosiers over the UK Mildcats. eek! One of the most amazing things to me was that in both contests I picked remarkably similar scores- initially Kansas 71-65,and later on Kansas 75-69.Not sure why I fixated on the 6 pt. margin, but if Syracuse wins 91-70 I'll look like a total fool- twice! eek!
Well Campus Crazy has Syracuse winning over somebody,(UK Maybe??)- so it looks like this title will be decided by who wins tonight.I really like both teams- they're both fun to watch play and both have some smokin studs.

And both Williams and Boeheim are great coaches who deserve to win a title and have really honored the game.I really feel a special kindred with Boeheim because he is a Boss fan, but I suspect that Roy may be one as well.
