Us boys here in Kansas think our Jayhawks are gonna run the table. Your thoughts?

That last one at Missouri's gonna be tough, but I think ya guys will pull it off. Going undefeated in the Big 12 is an incredible feat!
BTW - where do I sign up for the Jeff Boschee fan club? Too hot, that boy!

So, first or second round of the NCAA's that Kansas gets bounced? I say second. Then Coach Williams will have another tear-filled press conference and vow to do better next year.
I love Coach Williams--he told JaRon Rush to f**k off, so he's a God in my book--but with the teams that he's had a KU, he really should have won a title by now.

Jordan I'm with you. Jeff Boschee is just to hot.
I've mentioned his name in more than one post over the last month and haven't gotten much of a response about him. Dunleavy. . . . . whatever!!!!! J Bo is the man. Yummy!!!!

Mplsboy -
JB's definitely one of the hottest players out there! He's really good-looking, but he also has this swagger that's kinda sexy. (Do I sound like a pathetic groupie or what?!) I think a lot of people on the west coast just haven't seen Jeff play.
I agree with you on Dunleavy. Ummm, no thanks!

I'm with Jim. Kansas MAY make it to the Sweet 16, but typically their record is padded by a weak conference. As soon as they face an aggressive team, they crumble. Heinrich is more overrated than Williams over at Illinois. Puhleaze.

They did it. 16-0! The only team in Division I this season to go unbeaten in conference play. Regardless of how weak you may think the Big 12 is, its still a pretty amazing accomplishment.
I am confused by something though. I keep hearing people refer to Roy Williams and how he may finally win it all. Didn't Kansas win the tournament in 1988 or thereabouts? Was Williams not the coach then?
16-0 in the Big 12 is a remarkable record. Cincinatti couldn't go undefeated in Conference USA. Duke lost to Florida St (!) and Virginia--you sure they'd beat Oklahoma St and Texas on the road? Maryland was destroyed by Oklahoma, as well as losing at home to Arizona (Kansas beat them on the road). Granted, Kansas likely wouldn't have gone undefeated in the SEC or Pac-10, but the ACC isn't really that impressive beyond Duke & Maryland. The Big 10 and Big East lack really impressive teams this year. I don't believe there's any other team that played consistently well enough through its entire conference schedule to go 16-0 in the Big 12.
It will be interesting to see if Kansas can overcome the psychological burden of its tourney history. The team is certainly different in style than past Kansas teams and that may help...
George-
You're right about Kansas
winning in '88.They beat Okla
for the title with a team that
included Danny Manning and
one of the Barry boys- I want
to say Drew, but I'm not
sure.I think Roy became Coach
the following year, after a
certain vagabond named Larry
Brown left the wheat fields for
greener NBA pastures.

i am not sure why people still root for perennial bracket buster kansas. i have lost more money on this team in tournament pools than on any other team ever. the regular season with this squad is just one big cocktease, we never get the money shot, only a lawyer who looks like a model and goes out with you for six months before deciding "he's not ready for a relationship" kind of thing.
so i say, place your bets on the terrapins or the
sooners or even illinois. in fact, i'd say "i don't suck, but always choke" cincinnati has a better chance of winning it all than kansas.
