The Louisville Cardinals are a team that has risen slowly but steadily up the rankings this season.
Already they beat two #1 teams (Florida and Kentucky) and tonight they beat #5 kentucky. They didn't just beat them... they blew them out!!

Keep in mind that the only loss for the Cardinals this season was the season opener, an overtime loss to Iowa.

It was actually #5 or #6 Cincinnati (depending upon which poll you watch)...The first half of the game was Great.....UC really didn't do much in the second half, and Louisville pulled away with about 10 mins to go in the game...Louisville made more FTs than the Bearcats shot the entire game...I really didn't think that UC would knock off the Cards down there, but watch the rematch in the Shoemaker Center in Feb...Louisville has a GREAT team, and I think that C-USA is pretty strong this year, it's ashame this league is being pulled apart...The Cards, and Bearcats are both Top 10 teams, and I think could go far in the tourney come March! Congrats on a BIG Win Ung, see you in February!

It will be interesting to me what happens in Cincy for round two. Talent wise, the two teams seem to be fairly evenly matched. But the teams who have lost to Louisville have found out Louisville's stamina requires opponents to play with intensity for all 40 minutes. not 25 minutes of intensity and 15 minutes of coasting.
