This is proof that those with great patience (and longevity) will see good: a sparkling-new 12,000 seat Triple-A stadium smack in the heart of DT Fresburg, recently-dethroned ag capital of the world.

This thing was being proposed twenty years ago when I inhabited the dusty backwater on the banks of the San Joaquin. Good to see it finally done, and good luck to the Giant's AAA team, the Grizzlies - send help up to the big club and SOON!!

Fresno? Along with Phoenix, Miami, Sacramento, and some other place, in the top five for car thefts in the US. (Per capita? Absolute numbers? Not sure.)

So, who paid for the stadium? The taxpayers?
