Dialing for a dog and drink from the seats at Safeco Field QUOTE
It's a novel concept with all of the high-tech gadgetry that you might imagine from a city that played a part in the birth of cellular phone service. But whether baseball purists forgo the peanut man for the cell phone is yet to be seen.
Great, now the morons who can't turn off their phones for three hours have something else to do besides wave to the camera...

There was an article about this practice in The Wall Street Journal. a few weeks back. I've already thrown it out, and you have to subscribe to see it online. Bill Veeck is one of the owners at whose games you can do this.

Speaking of refreshments, did anyone else read a column in their respected sports section of their paper this morning, don't recall his name, but he was going off!, on the cost of refreshments at baseball games. I couldn't believe the prices he quoted for mundane things like a bag of potato chips for something like $5.00?? Thats outrageous, and ridiculous. People should stop paying this kind of money at games, and give the vendors a big clue.

those high prices for concessions figure very prominently into the equation of whether a baseball team makes a profit or loss.
It takes more than ticket sales and ad revenue to pay those $10million salaries.

I understand what you are saying ung, but if you have lets say a big family, it can get real expensive. Thats one reason why I usually eat before going to s sporting venue. And rarely buy anything more than a softdrink at a game.
