Somebody out there help me out, please. My Angels got Adam Kennedy from St. Louis for an outfielder, but his name escapes me. John or Jim something...I think he still plays for the Cardinals, if I'm not mistaken.

Adam Kennedy was acquired by Anaheim in the multi-player deal for Jim Edmonds....this is one trade that genuinely appears to have helped both clubs and considering the disparity in ages (Kennedy is 26 while Edmonds is 32), I'll give the nod to the Halos right now (assuming Kennedy stays healthy and is their second baseman for the next decade - or longer).

Jim Allen
I've read Robdun's post 3 times and I still don't know what to make of it.

If, as he claims, he's an Angels fan, or even just a baseball fan, can he really be that uninformed about Jim Edmonds? The outrage the Angels produced when they traded him (and especially when Kent Bottenfeld sucked in his one year with team) was considerable.

OR:

Is he slyly, and perhaps a shade too subtly, saying that he's an Adam Kennedy fan and that he's doing a kind of "Jim Edmonds who?" kind of thing?

I'm confused.

I think Adam Kennedy is, barring injuries, their 2nd baseman for a good while but I still feel they unloaded Edmonds too cheaply. I think all the negative talk the Angels spread about Edmonds backfired on them because I sure teams said to them "Why should we take on a head case? Knock down the price and we'll do something".

I'm glad to see Edmonds and Kennedy both doing well and in the playoffs.
