Joe in Philly
The 19-game losing streak is broken, two shy of the AL record and four shy of the major league record. That makes them just another very bad team. wink Afterwards, Jose Lima poured glasses of Dom Perignon and offered $1,000 to the Royals player who most helps the team win today. From ESPN.com:

Some of his teammates just shook their heads, so accustomed to Lima going over the top on everything.

\"Save it, Lima!\" one yelled, music blaring in the background.

\"Is this champagne from the Dodgers?\" hollered another, a reference to Lima's former team.

I'll be darned, the Bad News Royals are on a win streak!! Break 'em up.

Even more impressive is that the wins came against the A's--a high-flying team! I want the Royals to kep this going until Thursday and ruin Curt Schilling's return to the starting rotation.

Damn, they didn't break the loser record set by the 1961 Philadelphia Phillies.

I'm not complaining... They did a great job against that team from Massachusetts. However, if they want, they can cool off for the next three games at Yankee Stadium wink .
