What is this I heard on ESPN just a few minutes ago about Richter missing tonights' game with the Islanders because of a concussion? What the heck happened to him and when did this occur??? That's awful news! Just what the Rangers didn't need!

Richter's going to miss tonight's game and will probably be out for Wednesday's game as well. What I find interesting is that no one is sure just when (which hit) he got the concussion.

And what have we learned from this? That concussions are contagious! The Rangers need to get rid of Lindros quick!

With the latest news about Richter (a fractured skull) the Rangers playoff chances are pretty much done. Even with the advances in protection over the past few years, I am still amazed more hockey players don't wind up with serious head injuries each year.

unfortunately I agree with you Adam. The Rangers can now kiss any hopes or chance of making the playoffs. What a horrible year for the Rangers. The problems continue....

This will just add to the sense that the Ranger season is over: Susan Sarandon & Tim Robbins, who host a party for the team at season's end (they are to the Rangers what Jack Nicholson is to the Lakers,) have reportedly tentatively scheduled it during the Stanley Cup finals.

It's pretty much a done deal now for the Rangers to be out of the playoffs.

Yeah, Rangers are probably done for unless they can pull off a miraculous winning streak (or the teams they are chasing start losing). Have you noticed how all of their star players have some big flaw about them? Fleury is an unpredictable head case, Lindros is one hit away from joining his brother Bret as co host of Be A Player The Hockey Show, Messier is old and out right now, Bure is a big defensive liability.

Bure could be a suprise, but it's unlikely that he can pull it off on his own. When Theo is smokin, he's nearly unstoppable -- but with Fleury, who knows??
He either plays a hot game, or is off somewhere pouting.
