Heatley also is allowed to drive only to his speeches, to work, to receive medical treatment and to the grocery store — and he'll be doing so in a car that has a max speed of 70 mph.

The judge in the Heatley case has been shot to death at the courthouse. A court reporter was also killed and at least two people were wounded. The suspect in the shootings was being held on rape charges.
