Nice to see them getting off to a decent start this. year....
What to think about this little gem? Monfort's always been pretty right wing. Interesting that Selig, who is Jewish, claimed to have no idea that this was the general operating principal of the team. Someone on a blog somewhere raised an excellent point - this could open them up to serious liability from a draft pick who felt obligated to pretend to be something he wasn't (Christian/religious) in order to advance with the team. It's not just a matter of the manager, GM, and owner all being expected to be a specific religion. But it seems to extend to the players, as well.
Plus ... this is all part of "a plan" Todd Helton?? The fact that Reinsdorf has won seven world championships vs. Monfort's ZERO indicates to me that Jews really are the Chosen People.

God's a huge sports fan, as any fan will tell you. ("If God's not a Bronco fan, why are sunsets orange?" reads my favorite excellent-reasoning-there-Tex bumper sticker.) So why not try sucking up to Him a bit? Probably the only reason they're in their in third place is because they haven't publicized their "good deeds" enough.
