His goal tonight gave him his 1000th career point. He's the 4th US-born player to reach 1000.

Hmmmm. let's see... Bobby Hull, Brett Hull, Phil Housley, Pat Lafontaine...off the top of my head... That would make JR the fifth USA-born 1000-pointer. Was Bobby Hull born in Canada?? Anyone?
Anyways, way to go JR! Go Flyers!
He's the 63rd NHL-er to reach the milestone, and the 7th Flyer. Joe, can you help me out on that one? Clarke, Barber?...

According to what it said on the Flyers' website: [quote]
Roenick is the seventh player with Flyers experience to reach the milestone; he joins Bob Clarke, Darryl Sittler, Paul Coffey, Dale Hawerchuk, Brian Propp and Mark Recchi. Roenick is just the fourth player to reach the milestone while playing for the Flyers (Clarke, Sittler and Recchi).
Roenick is also the fourth American-born player to reach the 1,000-point milestone, joining Joe Mullen, Phil Housley and Pat Lafontaine.
Note it doesn't list either Hull. I assume Bobby was born in Canada, but Brett?

"Bob" Clarke? Is that his offical GM name? He'll always be "Bobby" to me.
Mark Rex has 1,000 points? I love that guy, but I musta been snoozing when that happened (sorry, Rex). And Daryl Sitler was a Flyer? Where have I been?
And then they have to go and mention Brian Propp? I guess this milestone ain't so grand after all... D'oh!
Wasn't Stan Mikita American? How 'bout Alex Delvecchio? Mike Gartner? Dino Ciccarelli? Larry Murphy? Dave Andreychuk? Dave Taylor? Joe Mullen? Bernie Nicholls? Norm Ullman?
I guess that US/Canadian border is way too narrow. Too much inter-breeding going on! (and I should know... )
