With little (none) fanfare, members of the Tampa Bay Lightning received their Stanley Cup rings. The rings--each decorated with 138 diamonds [one for each of the team's 106 points during regulation and two diamonds for each of the 16 postseason victories]--were distributed in a conference room in the basement of the St. Petersburg Times Forum. The Lightning needed to get league permission for the 15 players able to show up and the team to have this minimal contact.
