As some people know, I find Gary Roberts to be very handsome. So I went off today and bought a game worn Gary Roberts jesrsey. I'm crazy, I know.

I don't know if you guys have any of the McFarlane hockey figures. They are miniature lifelike replicas of the players. Of course, I have all of the Rangers that they made (Messier, Bure, Lindros, Richter, and Carter). In order to add a non-Ranger to my collection, I ordered Todd Bertuzzi in January. Would you believe that I got an e-mail on Monday telling me that Bertuzzi was finally on its way to be shipped to me? I don't want it now!

In addition to that, I have tons of pucks (some autographed and non-autographed), hockey sticks, photos (autographed and non-autographed, miniature zambonis (Rangers, of course), 30 Labatt Blue coldies with each individual team sweater, My Brian Leetch sad.gif sweater, and an autographed sweater from the 2001-2002 Caps, etc., etc. Most of it is flocked around my computer. This doesn't even include all of the stuff from other sports (if you think I am obsessed with the Rangers, you should see all of my Yankees items).

If it brings one pleasure, it is not a frivolous purchase. Of course, I have hockey sweaters from numerous teams (when business takes me to an NHL city, I try to go to a game & always buy myself something as a treat...to compensate for business travel) and some LA Kings commemorative items and a Derek Sanderson rookie card (autographed.) Additionally, I was gifted with a Rob Blake game-worn jersey a number of years back, purchased at a Kings' charity event. Not at all frivolous.

So Trevor, enjoy your Gary Roberts jersey!

Can't TOTALLY agree but I get the jist-EXAMPLE: I love boxers - I have LOTS & LOTS! but I figure what the heck - they ARE usable! Better than some figurines or some other collectibles that can't be used every day. Of course semi-useless collectibles often appreciate in value so who's the dummy?? ohmy.gif biggrin.gif

LOL I think the Bert quote is funny, CD, and I totally agree. But I'm no, please, I never want to see all that Yankees stuff. biggrin.gif

I have all the goalies from the McFarlane figures.

What else, there is the Moslon Neon Goalie Mask, and the Stick. Autographed pucks, and pics (may favorite being Martin Brodeur..he may not be eye candy, but he is the best.

I also have the jerseys. Broduer, Kolzig, Joseph, Richter, Roy, and Denis (he is eye candy, but I hesitate to wear in in public at least here in Columbus)
