Marc Potvin, journeyman player (spent time with the Wings, my Kings [92-94], Whalers, and Bruins) died suddenly while travelling with the UHL team he coaches, the Adirondack Frostbite. A cousin of Denis and Jean, Marc Potvin was 38.
I have an autographed Marc Potvin card from the '93/94 season and remember him fondly.

I just read this in my paper this morning. Guess there was no evidence of foul play. 38??? WTF?!
Was he realted to former Islander Dennis Potvin I wonder? brother?

Adam stated in an earlier thread that Marc was Denis' cousin.

The Los Angeles Kings website has some information about a ceremony for Marc Potvin that will precede Friday's Adrirondack Frostbite game (the UHL team he coached.) Additionally, the Kings will have donation sites set up at their next two home games, with all money raised to be donated to a fund the Frostbite have set up for Potvin's two children. The Kings organization will match all donations.
