The "World Series of Poker," airing on Wednesday nights on ESPN instead of the NHL, is averaging a national rating of 0.4, twice the ratings earned by NHL games last season. ESPN is contractually obligated to air hockey this season--if the game returns to us--and next season, but the fact poker can outdraw the NHL has got to make ESPN executives wonder about negotiationg a new contract with the NHL.

Adam, no doubt. Thats awful! I am beginning to think that the loss of the NHL may be begin to cause irreparable damage here in the US, if things don't change soon.
