I'm curious--does anyone else miss team websites that were actually maintained by the team? Each time I visit www.mets.com I am discouraged by the "sameness" of this and every other team site now that MLB has standardized them. I miss all the stuff that made the sites unique!

I too miss the old websites. Each website was different and
had it's own character, team flavor. Now that the owners
have voted to have MLB run all the team websites each
one is the same. It sucks.

It's typical of the stupidity of MLB. They should allow any team that wants to set up their own unique website. If a team doesn't want to do that, then they can use what they have now.
