Just went to Winnipeg/Grand Forks to get a hockey fix. They've built themselves a nice new building for the Moose.
Some think that if things break right with the lockout and a deal that's more amenable to small market cities comes around, then maybe they may get the NHL back.
Time will tell.....

How many can the new arena hold? And does it have the luxury suites that all new buildings have?

It seats over 15K and has 50 luxury suites.
One person's opinion-the next CBA settlement will have to be very pro-owner for it to work, I don't think there is enough of the premium seating in the building as it stands.
Needs more club seats/rinkside premium seats and the like.
Also got a chance to get a sneak peek at the old Winnipeg Arena....its days are numbered.

Awwww...what's its fate? Expansion of Polo Park?
I was there for two games years ago, and loved it. Winnipeg's a strange city in many ways - proof is easily found at the gay bars there - but it's a great hockey town.

Can't remember exactly what the site will become, but I think the location will be developed for retail purposes since it is located amidst plenty of shopping/entertainment/restaurant plazas.
Polo Park? Is that the Cfl stadium....it's now called Canada Inn Stadium. The corporate naming bug continues to spread!
