With all the attention that Johnny Damon is getting for his "Passion of the Sox" hair, ESPN.com's Page Two has compiled a list of some of the historically worst hairstyles in baseball.

Is That Sammy Sosa or Arsenio Hall?

As a fellow University of Hartford alumni, I cast my vote for Jeff Bagwell, but my heart will remain with Jason Giambi.

Long, short, hairy, or shaven - Jason has got it going on! biggrin.gif

Piazza's blonde hair was a big step up ... at least it was cut. One of the most traumatic memories from my formative years is that old Piazza Pert Plus commercial where he shook the back of his shiny mullet for the camera ... I can still see it, swaying back and forth in front of the camera ... eek!

Hey, I remember Bake McBride and that afro! Ah, the 1980 Phillies.... biggrin.gif

And I think I still have that Ross Grimsley card. It was his bug eyes rather than his hair that were disturbing.

Okay, so...really weird thing, but I was all anti-Johnny-Damon's-hair until I actually went to a Sox game and it's like I became sort of mesmerized. Now I really like the look, it's just bizarre enough to be really compelling. I find him attractive, even, for some odd reason. I think it's sort of like, if he'll go out in public with a hairdo like that, imagine how crazy he might be in bed. Something to think about.

IMO Bagwell is a hottie....he was just a bit off kilter with that one....trimmed up, the goatee would have worked.

I wouldn't say Bagwell was a hair style "don't". I've considered him one of the hottest baseball players out there the last couple years.
