How many games do we think he'll play before he faces some injury to knock him out for the rest of the season? He has long been a rather fragile player, after all. My guess is 21 games.

The Rangers play the Devils on Oct 17, Dec 19, and January 17. The January 17 game will be Lindros' 50th game of the season, assuming he is not injured. If he doesn't play 50 games, Philly owes the Rangers a draft pick as compensation.
Undoubtly Scott Stevens is sharpening his shoulder pads as we speak.

Damn forget about the devlis...when is the first Flyers game? Lindros is hated more by those guys. Maybe he can pull a Clemens-Mets deal and not play that game. ( I say that as both a Yankee fan and a Ranger fan)

NEW YORK (AP) -- Eric Lindros scored once and assisted on Theo Fleury's overtime goal as the New York Rangers beat the winless New Jersey Devils 4-3 Wednesday night.
Lindros, back in the NHL after a 17-month absence, played against Scott Stevens and the Devils (0-3-0-1) for the first time since the New Jersey captain gave him his last concussion during the 2000 playoffs.
Stevens and Lindros were on the ice together for several shifts but it resulted mostly in halfhearted bumps and nudges. For one play in the second, on a Rangers power play, the two traded elbows and shoves in front of the net. Also in the second, Lindros slammed Stevens into the boards.
He survived! Of course, Stevens does more damage in the playoffs...

Yes, I'm sure Lindross was happy about the way that game turned out. Stevens hasn't been hitting all that hard this season so far. Of course, the Devils are off to their worst start in, well, pretty much ever. Pretty shocking, and they need to turn things around.

It's still so early, and with so many games in the regular season, that I won't be surprised to see the Devils put it together in time for the playoffs.
