Alan Cohen, the idiot owner, wrote an email complaining about the Capitals running up the score. What are they supposed to do? Stop playing? The game ain't over 'til it's over. The Panthers didn't stop playing. They scored two goals after the score was 6-0, so it was obviously ok for them to keep playing. What if they'd come back and won?

As hard up as the Caps have been to score goals this season, they should have scored more.

To be fair, most owners are idiots.

I understand this "no running up the score" stuff when applied to little league, grade school and high school sports, and even to college to a degree. Nothing wrong with trying to instill a bit of sportsmanship in our youth. But all bets are off in the pros. Somebody needs to send him a copy of last week's Giants-Niners game!

And to think Jagr just played 16 minutes (and barely didn't play in the third). He got his 7 points in the first half of the game..
