Enjoy the post-season, fellas. It was good for the game to see that after almost 162 games, it came down to the last day or two of the season for several teams. smile.gif

So, Ump, are we gonna see you on the field this post-season? wink.gif

MLB Ump - your thoughts on St Louis-San Diego Game 1 - Pujols at bat (the at bat in which he homered) and a bad strike one (obviously low) is called on him - he visibly reacts to the plate ump, turns around and faces him and starts talking to him in an animated way (who knows what he said) - how close was he to getting dumped? And, because he's Albert Pujols, does the plate ump give him more leeway to complain? Then, pitch two to Pujols is borderline, looked really good, called a ball - was that a make up call even though make up calls are a cardinal sin (no pun intended)?

We don't do make-up calls. Never have, never will, the opinions of the fans notwithstanding. To do so would be dishonest and injurious to our integrity. We also do not give "breaks" or any kind of leniency toward any superstar. The All-Star deserves just as much fairness as the rookie or .150 hitter.
