The Ontario Hockey League suspended Mississauga forward Danny Carcillo for the rest of the regular season for cross checking a player in the face eek! , during a game earlier this month.
The Ice-Dogs ( Adam, sound familiar?), have 23 games left in the regular season. OHL Commissioner David Branch said if they advance to the playoffs, the team can apply for Carcillo's reinstatement.

Just reading that a player was cross checked in the face makes me cringe and hope the inevitable video cof the incident doesn't surface on ESPN--it would lead to another round of "all hockey is is violence" yammering.
