Witht that being said, along with Michigan and USC, I think WVU's one of the few teams in college football capable of beating OSU. We will never know. All the more reason for a 16 team playoff.

No No No....it's still possible.

I mean IF WVU can beat Rutgers next week (and I know that's a big IF) AND aliens land and kill the other 19 teams in the top 20 AND the BCS starts choosing it's Championship teams by randomly picking primary colors, the Mountaineers can TOTALLY get in.

But regardless, South Florida seriously look like a National Champion for next year so WVU really shouldn't be too upset about yesterday... Seriously, they shouldn't.

Don't waste your breath... I think the WVU fans have stopped reading this thread by now. laugh.gif They're out changing all of their posters and banners about winning 3 consecutive National Championships, to only 2 National Championships.

I think we should extend this theory to about 110 or so Division 1A teams so that Ohio State can play Buffalo tongue.gif ....

And then there were two. Florida or Michigan.

Great USC/UCLA game. One of my favorites of the year.

So who's gonna play Ohio State? Can WVU still get in even if they lose to Rutgers?

I vote FLORIDA (oh, if only I really did get to vote).

I believe Florida has a more dynamic and versatile offense, I'm impressed by the conference title game win, and I do believe overall that Florida is the better team (between Florida and Michigan), including players and coaches.

I also disagree with with Kirk Herbstreit: if voters don't want a rematch, they shouldn't vote for one.
I don't think it should be the only factor or deciding factor for a pollster, but I do think it's certainly a VALID concern. Seriously, there is no way I'm watching Ohio State/Michigan *again* and I think in the long run it'd be way way waaaaaay worse for the BCS to have a rematch for the title game vs. having two really hot teams that haven't played before square off.

You'd have to think Michigan was waaaaaay better than Florida to not advance Florida to the title game, and I just don't see it.

Of course, my track record with these things is almost always wrong. So by typing this message here, I may have doomed Florida's chances.
