Hardly. The 2005 World Series Champions are THE baseball team in Chicago. And please don't embarrass yourself about attendance at a teenie ballpark populated by the same 38,000+ unemployed homos every game.
I disagree. It was a good move. Lou was the better choice.
Cubs fan: "White sox had a good year, what are they going to do to repeat?"
White sox fan: "Cubs, cubs, cubs, Wrigley field sucks, cubs cubs cubs."
Cubs fan: "Yea, but how is your team? The white sox?"
White sox fan: "Cubs suck, cubs, cubs, cubs. Wrigley field is small, cubs suck, cubs suck. "
Whitesox fans are so concerned about what the cubs are doing all the time that they don't even bother to show up and watch their team play. The only reason why White sox fans started going to games late in the season in 2005 was because the Cubs season was over. To obsessed with complaining about what the tribune writes and rooting against the cubs at Wrigley. They couldn't fill that stadium if they were 20 games up in first, at least not until the cubs were eliminated.
