I really wasn't quite sure where the best place to post this topic would be. It does have a political flair so I went with the "Politics and Religion" board.

I've seen several stories in the media recently about the growing number of video resumes due to the rise in popularity of YouTube. After watching several of them, I thought 'what the hell?' and decided to make one.

I've received some great feedback so far and spreading the word most certainly never hurt.

If any of you are bored and want to check it out I would very much appreciate it.

It's done in a mocking attack ad style. For historical reference, George Wallace is the man who appears early on under "Leader of the Year."

Salary is negotiable. wink.gif

Now THAT is creative! I'm sure you'll be hearing from prospective employers quite soon. Very good, even for a video resume.

Well I had never heard of anything like this before, but that was pretty damn funny, and particularly appropriate for your line of work. That brought a laugh and a smile to my day.

Now if someone directed me to something like that for a job in higher ed, where I work, I'm not sure if that would work.

Good luck! Let us know if it works.

A brief follow-up...NPR just did an awesome piece (as did the National Journal, but I dont have access to it).

The video I did is really taking off at this point...hopefully the blogs will take off with it and the national tv media will pick it up shortly thereafter.

Party in DC at my place when everything works out.

Hope everyone is having a FANTASTIC holiday season.
