Its just coming out today(now) that supposedly according to some website, at least 7 NFL football stadiums have been targeted by terrorists. Now according to the FBI and the Dept. of Homeland Secruity the alleaged threats have been deemed not credible. This story is just breaking as I type this. They say also the stadiums were supposedly informed of this alleged threat about a week ago.

A Web site is claiming that seven NFL football stadiums will be hit with radiological dirty bombs this weekend.

It mentioned NFL stadiums in New York, Miami, Atlanta, Seattle, Houston, Oakland and Cleveland, where games are scheduled for this weekend.

Well with the Jets, Dolphins, Texans, Raiders and Browns hosting maybe the bombs they are referring to are the home teams?

The Repugs really have no choice but to try and get terrorism back in the news at this point.

This came across just minutes ago:

NBC/Wall St. Journal Poll: Republicans Reach New Low Point

It seems rather ridiculous that Homeland Security says the threats are not credible but it's still reported as news because someone made the threat on an internet blog. We'll undoubtedly all be treated to local news reporters around the country tonight showing up at the local stadium in town, using it as a backdrop, and then trying to find a fan of said local team who spouts, "I'll be there this weekend supporting my team. The terrorists will not win." Could anything be more predictable?

The GOP'ers are stranded with scare tactics as one of the few viable options they have before mid terms. Make no mistake about it. Rove and company are brain storming for any avenue to revisit and initiate this popular strategy that worked in W's first term.

W had the benifet of the doubt as he preyed on the ignorance of Middle America in Term One. The difference is Middle America has become astute on all things Middle East, Terror Groups, and W antics.

America is finished drinking W's kool aid.

No, this is just as predictable as a hangover after a long night of partying. If this is the GOP's October surprise, it's not working as well as they would have us believe. rolleyes.gif

This is utterly ridiculous. They have run out of rabbits to pull out of a hat. Do those in charge believe this to be true because it was on the internet? If so, then they are a lot more stupid than I ever thought, and they should all be fired. This is a non-news story created by a non-government. I guess it must be a slow news day, with all Rethuglicans keeping it in their pants for the moment.

What are you implying? Is there something on the internets that isn't true ???? blink.gif

I was listening to the NPR this morning & they said that the govt has confirmed that they IDed who the culprit is & that it wasn't a serious terrorist threat. Rather it was made by "a male young adult American". The govt refused to give out his name. All righty then! I find that odd. W/ today's post-9/11 climate I would imagine that the govt would want to make an ie of this "young adult" by naming him & showing us his face. I'm beginning to wonder if this truly was a GOP strategy for the upcoming elections. blink.gif

This is what I figured when on the Nightly News last night it was revealed the first comment on the post was "Do you...like...have a source on this or are you just making it up?" To which the original poster said "You already know too much".

Please, God, save us from this mastermind. rolleyes.gif
