The International Bowl??? Do they use a football version of the Modified Stableford scoring in this game?

The Birmingham Bowl, the New Mexico Bowl, the Texas Bowl???

Well, at least, you can't put a product name in front of a bowl named after a city/state...

...I hope you can't, at least. Though, next year, there might be a 33rd bowl, the Cialis Podunk Bowl. blink.gif

It is ridiculous that well over half of all Division I-A football teams go to bowls (64 will go bowling, 55 will not). Remember when a bowl game used to be considered a reward for an excellent season?

The name of the game with bowls is coaches' job security.

The bowls I really can't wait to see: The San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl, The Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl, and the two Sun bowls.... yes, the Brut Sun and the Petro Sun. And I'm really glad the International Bowl has settled on a date of January 6... because logic dictates that the Orange Bowl and national championship game should be sandwiched around a bowl game featuring the Mid-American Conference's 3rd place team and the Big East's 5th-place finisher.

College football is the only major sports industry that does not share its earnings with the players. That's why the NCAA is extending the college football season, just to make money for its colleges and universities. Meanwhile, only 55% of college football players ever manage to graduate from college, while many of them suffer career-ending injuries (and even death). So, you ask why there are 32 bowl games? It is a money-making venture for the NCAA, which could care less about the players.
