Full Version: GOP Already Stealing Votings With Voting Machines
Outsports Discussion Board > Outsports > Politics & Religion
fantomas
Ah well, it's already started: the GOP is going to steal the election again, no matter what the voters want or intend. Fascism is well underway, and you have to ask yourself, who is going to stop it?

KFDM TV-News: Tx voters report machines throwing votes to Repubs

Register UK: Florida terminals favoring Repubs despite voters' picks

No wonder Karl Rove is so happy and Bush is so upbeat--they are going to brazenly try to steal the election right out from under us, and know their shock troops and sock puppets in the media will for the most part be complicit. Let's see how long it takes for the major media outlets or Faux to report any of this.
MIB
Guess who's escaped from the Institute, Folks? Someone please return fantomas to his little white room before his condition worsens. Now he's quoting European newspaper stories about our elections.

Where was fantomas when NJ violated the law and stuck Lautenberg back on the ballot? Where was fantomas when Missouri Democrats violated the law by allowing a dead person to "win" the election just so his democratic wife can be appointed?

Oh! The Silence! Oh! The hypocrisy! rolleyes.gif

Guess who escaped from planet Bizzaro-World....none other than MIB! So since when is Beaumont, Texas in Europe? MIB, you are about as good with geography as you are with meteorology. Why is this so hard for you to believe, Judge Judy? Rove and his henchmen did it before, what's to prevent them from doing it again? The American public? Nope, Rove and his spin-machine have most buying all the crap they spew out of the White House these days. Why is it so hard for you to believe these Rethuglicans are all a bunch of crooks? Their track record speaks for itself.

He's totally unhinged when anything challenges his right-wing Republican worldview. He also just lies out of whole cloth, like when he claimed I hadn't been a Cardinals fan since joining and I proved him wrong, but of course he was too off his rocker to admit it. Really sad. I guess he'll go find something to plagiarize to counter these facts.

Anyways, as you noted, Millerbeach, the TEXAS TV STATION is reporting shenanigans down there, and the MIAMI HERALD also is reporting these same glitches. So the unhinged Republican will fly off the handle even more, here's the Miami Herald (not a European newspaper, just so he grasps this) link.

and

I'd like to see this documentary.
fantomas
Hey people, it gets even better! By pushing a button found on the back of all Sequoia machines, which are standard across the state of California, as well as Illinois, Florida, etc., you can vote as often as you'd like! Yep, you set it to manual mode and then just vote to your heart's--or party's--content.

Hey Fantomas, you say, but there's no way this could be the case. That's just "bizarroworld," "nutty," "crazy," etc. But you'd be wrong. In fact, it's been reported by election officials to the California Secretary of State and do you think he gave a damn? Nope! So whoever the fix is in for who will be put in office! Not just in California but elsewhere. I mean, it's kind of pathetic that they have cleaner votes in the Congo, Veneuzuela, Brazil, Iran (yes, Iran!), etc., but you know, when the people in charge of this "democracy" are determined to rule by any means necessary, spy on you via illegal warrantless wiretapping, suspend habeas corpus, allow over 1,000 Americans to drown to death or suffer as the cameras roll in a major American city, declare wars based on lies and then lie steadily without ever acknowledging how badly they're screwing up, should we be surprised by voting machines that shift votes their way, or that can allow one person to register 10 or 100 or 1,000 or conceivably 10,000 votes if he or she so chooses?

There you go again, automatically labelling someone a right-winger just because he doesn't toe the same left-wing line as you do. Straightjacket must be strapped too tight for ya there.

A "right-winger" wouldn't be voting for almost all Democrats, now, would he? Because come Tuesday, that's what I'm planning on doing, genius. Only the state treasurer's position gets my "right-wing" vote. And for governor, it looks like the Green Party candidate will get my vote, because I can't stomach the other two, especially your fellow lefty Rod Blagojevich. Hell, I'm not even voting for Judy Biggert, who is my congresswoman. Shannon gets my vote, even though he's doomed in this GOP district.

Once again, MIB wins another smackdown against fantomas, Mr. Assumption himself.

Uh huh. With your usual inability to discern sarcasm and friendly baseball fan needling, you took my bait and bit--hook, line, and sinker and then some--so much so that you had to post a bunch of links to back up your contentions. I must admit, it was fun watching you undoubtedly foam at the mouth as your blood pressure rose in anger. smile.gif

Rove and his henchmen did it before...

Prove it. If they did, they would have been indicted with fraud.

I wonder where you were when New Jersey Democrats violated the law and put Lautenberg on the ballot at the last minute to ensure that seat remained in Democratic hands.

I wonder where you were when Missouri Democrats violated the law (not to mention the U.S. Constitution) by allowing a dead person to get "elected" --a legally oxymoronic outcome--then having his spouse appointed to fill said "elected" seat.

Oh, I get it. It's perfectly OK to ignore or break the law when a Democrat is the one doing it, because the ends justify the means.

Oh! The hypocrisy! rolleyes.gif

Um, that was my point MIB. And you say that I don't have a sense of humor.

Oh the hypocrisy. rolleyes.gif

I never said you didn't. BTW, improper understanding of hypocrisy.

As I posted in another thread, this story is confirmed. Chris Matthews interviewed some guy who is with an overseer group, and he mentioned this. Good grief.
MIB
I see. Well, I guess since left-wing loudmouth Chris Matthews said it, it's true. I can't WAIT for his take on global warming.
hockeyTom
Matthews didn't say it, his guest did.
MIB
OK, then that clears it all up. Thank God that "overseer" was there to speak the gospel.

And a lot more techie stuff that would probably make you drool. wink.gif

Victory of the Force, Star Wars Episode 9.

QUOTE
The Jedi meet at Yavin 4 to celebrate the defeat of the dark side. In the distance, Luke can see countless thousands of Jedi from every era appear as Jedi spirits (including Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Mace Windu, Qui-Gon Jinn and Anakin Skywalker). The spirits of the long-dead Jedi (who have pleaded with the light side of the Force to avenge their deaths) watch the New Jedi Order celebrate final victory over the dark side. Luke’s Jedi Order and the New Republic will enter a 1,000 year period of peace and prosperity. The dark side is no more. Fade to black. Roll end credits.

Because fantomas is never one to be fair and honest, I am sure his coverage of these four election fraud indictments in Missouri was intentionally ignored. Funny, I bet had they been Republicans, he'd be falling all over himself rushing to post it here.

Did anyone see the HBO documentary that just aired, Hacking Democracy? It was absolutely chilling, especially the part where the Black Box people found that in Volusia County the election workers had thrown away their signed poll tallies despite this being against federal law, and lied about it, and when the researchers checked, they found discrepancies between the signed polls and what they'd been given after the fact.

Most chilling was the bit at the end where the Finnish computer expert was able, contrary to Diebold's assertions before that Cuyahoga County panel, 1) to show that the Accu-Disk memory disks were hackable and 2) to change the votes without there being any trail. As those observers, including the other computer scientist, were stunned and some were weeping at how easily our elections can be stolen, I thought, how on earth could we be in a situation where our voting systems are less secure than those of places like banana republics around the world? It was beyond heinous.

The one heartening thing was the determination of these US citizens not to be zombies and accept this gross traducement of democracy, but I have to admit, after the bit about John Kerry, I was even more angry and disgusted at him than before. Having basically just given the election away, he really needs to go run a foundation somewhere and never, ever show his face in public again.

Well, the Left screamed like crazy for new voting machines after the 2000 debacle. They get them, and now they claim they're being rigged against them. rolleyes.gif

That elitist scumbag ironically isn't intelligent enough to realize he should just shut up and go away.
millerbeach
Perhaps, MIB, but I'd be rather careful about tossing around the saying "elitist scumbag". You know, people who live in glass houses really shouldn't cast stones. And I guess you keep forgetting about the 2000 presidential election in this country. Oh wait, how could you recall the election in 2000, because it ended up being a Supreme Court appointment, which makes the election nul and void. How silly of me. I guess you also forgot Gore won the popular vote by nearly a half million votes, and nearly won the electoral college, if it weren't for the state of Florida. Who is the governor of Florida? Bonus points for you, MIB, if you can name the governor of Florida. Remember, he's related to GWB! Thanks for playing gramps, time for your nap.
MIB
When you leftists finally and truly understand the constitutional issues behind the 2000 election, come back and talk about it (1. SCOTUS did not appoint anyone; 2. For the umpteenth time, there was no way Al Gore could have legally won the election). Until then, cease with the displays of partisan ignorance over it. They are older than the liberals' playbook itself.
TheOtherFSU
After watching Hacking Democracy last night, I will vote Tuesday with about a 5% belief that my votes will be counted and counted correctly.

Chilling would almost be an understatement of my reaction after watching that HBO documentary. The ease with which people can manipulate the voting machines is shocking. Kudos to Bev Harris for having the strength and the guts to stand up and stand virtually alone in fighting the system. She is an amazing woman.

This is an absolute must-see documentary!

****I would say that Tennessee is one state where the voting was tampered with this week in advance of Tuesday's election. Since August, virtually every poll showed the Ford-Corker Senate race in Tennessee essentially tied. One poll during the month showed Ford (the Dem) pulling away with a 7-point lead but most of the polls in the last month showed the race as a 1- or 2-point race. Then suddenly on Thursday, it was reported that 12 different voting machine smart cards were missing from precincts in Memphis, Ford's home town. And then just as suddenly, a new poll was released the very next day that showed Corker (the Republican) had taken a shocking 8% point lead in a race that was too close to call and never separated by more than a 2-point margin since August. This prompted highly-respected opinion pollster Rasmussen Reports to note on its web site yesterday: "It is unusual for a race to go from a two-point lead to an eight-point lead in a matter of days absent a major campaign event. Those figures are remarkable when you consider that 46% of Tennessee voters believe things are going poorly in Iraq." Coincidence? No way. Smart cards go missing, and 24 hours later a new poll is released so no one will question the results.****

Oh for christs sake MIB - I have heard you decry "judicial activism" as if it were the holy grail of marxists and bemoan the lack of strict interpretationists here on this board for years,

Yet when an off the wall ruling is made that you agree with - even though it has no foundation in constitutional law (The vast majority of constitutional attorneys wrote for months that they found it a shocking expansion of judicial review) - you are still applauding and defending it six years later.

The Supremes should have supported the state court rulings for recounts and left the election law - and the decision - in the hands of the states.

And you know it.

Watch the next time a states election is contested for a federal nominee, everyone will go running to the Supremes again rather than keep this where it should be: in the hands of the states.

You can't have it both ways, changing whenever it suits you. You are becoming worse than most of the damn liberals on the board.

Well, if you weren't such a partisan ignoramus, you would have taken the time to read my recent posts regarding Bush v. Gore, where I said that SCOTUS didn't need to grant writ to take the case--they should have let things continue--because there was no way for Al Gore to legally win the election or a court challenge. The Constitution and federal election law pursuant to the Constitution both specified--clearly--that the Florida State Legislature exclusively and solely had the authority to determine its electors.

I won't hold my breath for your apology.
