Let me be the first to say......HA HA HA.....I never drank the Mountaineer Kool-aid!! (or is it moonshine).

Louisville 44
WVU 34

This is what happens when you play an incredibly weak schedule--when you play a real team, you lose.

.....Looks like your "3 national titles" in a row will be delayed by at least a year.

It has little to do with schedule. USC played a strong schedule, but they turned the ball over against Oregon State and they lost. You turn the ball over to often, you lose.

Now Louisville has the ball, I hope they run with it.

Um, yes, schedule has a lot to do with it. Teams don't get better unless they are challenged. Playing weak competition repeatedly does not allow the team to be pushed to perform at a higher level. And then once they do face strong competition, they are not accustomed to it and falter.

So how far will WVU drop in the polls?

Out of the top ten?

I'm thinking right around 10-11

Hey, at least we didn't lose to Oregon f**king State.

Oh, well. I figured Steel would gloat. He has no team he roots for. He just comes here to root against WVU.

We had 100 more yards of offense than UL did. We lost on two plays at the beginning of the second half. The fumble and the muffed punt that was returned for a TD. Shit happens. We made the mistakes, we lost. That's how college football is. No excuses. Good luck to UL and hope they can win out and play OSU for the title.

This had nothing to do with our schedule, Steel. It had to do with the fact we made 2 critical errors in the beginning of the second half that was a definite 14 point and possibly 21 point swing in UL's favor. WVU was playing them on the road and played well up to that point. We ran all over them, we passed all over them and did a better stopping their offense than they did ours. Their offense scored 30 points, the other 14 came via fumble recovery for a TD and a muffed punt return.

I'm just happy that as a WVU fan to say that when you have 1 single loss on your schedule and consider that "season ending" because you can't play for the title, you have reached the elite in CFB. It surely was not this way at WVU 10 years ago. That, and I can say thank God I'm not a pitt fan.

You're damn f**king right! I've had to put up with the Mountaineer bullshit for 8 weeks, with being told I was a just a "casual" football observer while others on here are so knowledgeable about college football, and that my Top 10 rankings were biased or ignorant. But I was the one who had WVU at #10 and knew they weren't a Top 3 caliber team. So yes I'm going to gloat and if you don't like it, kiss my ass.

That's not why I came here. I came here as an objective participant. I have a favorite team and a number of teams I pull for, but I don't come on here to hype them up with every breath. I don't do that so I can have a more fair assessment of all teams. (and when did I "root against WVU"?--all I ever did was not put them in my top 10)
I wish I were a better man that could say I will still be objective and treat WVU fairly, despite the fact that their fans are jerks. But I can't. However, I can honestly say that I hope WVU loses every game they ever play.
Have a nice day. smile.gif
