Full Version: GOP aids and abets terrorists

Awful. In their desperation to prove that the invasion of Iraq was the right thing to do -- the GOP decided to "leverage the internet" to discover new information of the danger of Hussein.

Over the objections of experts and national security advisors.

They posted public information on how to build an atomic bomb.

Nuclear primer for terrorists.

Their argument that the GOP is stronger of terrorists just went out the window. They're so much more interested in protecting their power than in pProtecting Americans,

And W's tactics of trying to scaer us with a terrorist under every bed just doesn't fly. Makes one long for the good old days of Bush the Elder when we were led by a "Thousand Points of Light" rather than slapped with a "Thousand Points of Fright"

Now, now, DCBucky, just because the King George II overruled John Negroponte - you know, he's the guy who is supposed to be actually managing our intelligence services - and sided with Congressional Republicans who wanted to defend their pro-fiasco position, does not mean that he wants the terrorists to win. It just means that Mssr. Bush is far more interested in maintaining his power than in protecting the country.

But we knew that long ago.

What's scarier is that the "neocons" have convinced even liberal USA citizens that the only way to fight terrorism is to start wars overseas "before they come here", which is exactly the opposite of what we need to do.

On the contrary we need to work to prevent war anywhere, and addressing the economic depravation and injustice everywhere is the only way to do that.

We could start by addressing the primal conflict in the Middle East - Palestine-Israel - in an equitable manner such as to be a respected broker between the two sides.
