Cheney is going hunting again I just read, in Pierre S.D. on election Day. Isn't that special?? I sure as hell would get out of dodoge or in this case, Pierre, S.D., if I lived there!

Who will be his hunting partner this time around? Will it be Rummy the Dummy? Or can we hope he'll take someone like Newt Get-rich?

I know Mary is going with him for one.

Is he trying to scare voters into staying home?

Cheney sees nothing wrong with killing innocent animals. How can there be peace in the world when politicans kill animals like this? Bloodsports are evil.

Forgive my being blunt, Elemental, but some of my best friends are hunters. I see nothing wrong with hunting, except when you try to blow someone's head off a la Cheney. Hunting is NOT evil; blowing someone else's head off while hunting is.

UCLA fan, I'm not calling you evil, but hunting for sport is cruel and inhumane. How does shooting innocent deer for sport give the hunter amusement and pleasure? Bloodsports whether hunting for sport and bullfights are cruel and sadistic. Hunting teaches children most especially boys that animal life is just expendable for human pleasure. Most of the so called sport hunters are homophobic and sexist. I hate the idea of progressive gay and lesbian people attempting to justify sport hunting. But I am not trying to start any arguement. I just find the idea of filling doe with bullets to be sick and appalling. I recently saw a mother deer and her two babies. Now we don't even see the mother anymore because some idiot killed her leaving the babies motherless. If that is someone's idea of entertainment then I find it quite sick.

I grew up hunting. I know how to use a shotgun pretty damn well. I had a gun liscence growing up. I don't now since I'm too busy to go hunting for duck, geese, deer, etc.

It may be cruel, however, these animals can become a nuisance when they are destroying crops & land my Dad owns. So, yes, hunting is a necessary evil.

I wouldn't even call it evil. I don't hunt myself at all and neither am I defending Cheney. However, I do take issue with anyone saying it is evil. Evil is allowing over 2,800 American troops to die what many consider to be meaningless deaths in Iraq, allowing over 60,000 Iraqi civilians to die for essentially no good reason other than shoring up oil prices in American, or creating terrorism here in America. Those are evil things. Your average bubba who goes out to hunt isn't evil.

Now I do care to argue about this point because it truly cheapens the real evils in our world, Elemental. Many hunters that I personally know use the meat that they kill. They're not wasteful people. That having been said, I do take great umbrage to your point of hunting being evil. Now if you can just please point out to me where you get your numbers on most hunters being homophobic, I'd love to debate that as well. I wouldn't necessarily disagree with that but without the proof, I wouldn't exactly accept that statement either.

I sure wouldn't call it a sport.Anyone who gets entertainment out of killing anything shouldn't be allowed to own a weapon.Self defense and survival is one thing but killing something just to see if you can is another.



People can become a nusiance,too.What would you do with them?

Good point. Back to the topic at hand, I still haven't seen or read about who Cheney shot. Oops! I mean to say that I haven't heard who went hunting with him.
