I'm new to SF and thinking about going out for the Fog to do something competitive, meet people, and participate in a team sport for the first time since middle school baseball. I'm also 5'9, a skinny 150 lbs, never work out, and have never played a contact sport. Am I too small to be useful? What's the skill level like in general? What's the age range? Thanks...

The San Francisco Fog seem very inclusive and will find room for you no mater your size, age and skill level. I've been trying to get to a practice for newbies for ever and my schedule just doesn't find time. They seem like a great bunch of guys though. Go check them out!

After meeting and playing against the Fog at the Bingham Cup - can say they are a great bunch of guys and girls.

Having been a moveable 'contractor' over the last couple of years, firstly in Cardiff, Wales, and more recently in London, I heartly recommend joing a team to make an instant set of 'twenty best friends'

Any rugby pointers you need = just ask
