I don't know where you heard this from, but the source is wrong. Adam, couldn't be a nicer guy. Shy he is, a bastard he is definitely not. He couldn't be any more highly respected and regarded at least from what I know. I have never heard anything like this. But like I said, he is very shy. Maybe this is picked up as something else. Plus he is very, very competetive too.
