North Carolina Previous Head Coach: John Bunting (Fired- Poor Performance)
Replacement: Butch Davis (NFL)


Cincinnati Previous Head Coach: Mark Dantonio (Moved to Michigan State)
Replacement: Pat Narduzzi (Cincinnati)- Interim


North Carolina State Previous Head Coach: Chuck Amato (Fired- Poor Performance)
Replacement: N/A


Miami (FL) Previous Head Coach: Larry Coker (Fired- On/Off Field Problems)


Arizona State Previous Head Coach: Dirk Koetter (Fired- Poor Performance)


Alabama Previous Head Coach: Mike Shula (Fired- Poor Performance)

Big mistake on bama's part. Considering the tumult of the past ten years or so, Shula deserved another year to see what he could do. Sure's gonna cost their program alot of $$$ to boot.

He's still a good coach...but I think it was the 4 straight losses to Auburn which cost him his job.

At least Condi Rice has her priorities straight. She was in Latvia with POTUS for the NATO summit.

She runs into Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) -- who serves on the Armed Services Committee -- and tells him there was "big news"

Not about progress on ther war in Iraq. Or proof that Putin is poisoning dissidents. Or a plan to prevent Kim Jong Il from importing more Hennessey.

Nope -- it was that Shula got fired. Condi loves her football!

Guesses? Will someone like ASU, NC St, or Cincy (provided Narduzzi doesn't get the interim taken off) go after Shula?
